Route planning is an important part of organising an abnormal load movement. Although many routes are tried and tested, some routes may require further investigation. Route Survey ExampleThis is an extract from a recent bridge height survey carried out by Convoi Exceptionnel in Spain. We were required by our client to identify the most efficient route possible for their high load. When the route survey was complete, we were able to provide our client with a complete step-by-step bound document of the route with very specific locations and bridge heights clearly marked. This was then used by the haulier driver and the escort car driver (also provided by Convoi Exceptionnel) to reach the destination in the most efficient and safe way possible, thereby saving the client valuble time and money. As this was going to be a fairly regular route by our client, they were able to use this document time and time again, each time benefiting from this successful route survey.
